Hi! I’m Moriah, and I’m so glad you’re here!
A little about me: I was born and raised in Decorah, Iowa, and this little town has my whole heart. I have such a deep passion for photography, especially engagements and weddings. I just love love. From getting to know my clients, to capturing meaningful moments, to carefully editing each image afterward, I truly love every part of the process.
By day, I work at Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. as the Marketing Coordinator and in-house photographer. Craft beer has become such a fun part of my world, and I love exploring other breweries around the area whenever I get the chance.
I come from a family of nine, yes nine. With siblings everywhere you turn, life growing up was beautifully chaotic. Honestly, I would not trade it for anything. My big family taught me how to thrive in what I like to call controlled chaos, which is a skill that serves me so well during weddings and family sessions. Whether it is making kids laugh to capture genuine smiles or organizing a bustling wedding party while keeping the day flowing smoothly, I am proud of my ability to stay calm, flexible, and joyful in the moment. Even if it meant losing a few clothing items to my sisters along the way.
I did move away from Decorah right after high school, determined to get out of this small town, and I came running back a year later. As big and exciting as the world is, I realized there is something incredibly special about building a life in a place that feels like home. I love to travel, but when it comes to putting down roots, Decorah is it for me. I am so grateful I was raised here.
You will often find me at Impact Coffee. It is truly my favorite spot. I have been going there for over 10 years and have never once had an order made wrong, which feels like a high standard. The atmosphere, the events, the people, and of course the coffee are unmatched. If you are planning a visit to Decorah, it is a must stop.
